JOKANOVIC HANDED DOUBLE PROBLEMS FOR BARNSLEY

Sheffield United manager SlavisaJokanovic has been handed a double selection problems ahead of the West Yorkshire Derby clash with Barnsley away from home on Sunday. The Sheffield United boss will have to tweak his starting XI for the short trip to Oakwell due to the absence of Wolves loanee Morgan Gibbs-White.


England junior international Gibbs-White will miss the Barnsley clash after he was sent off during the 2-1 home defeat to London club Millwall on Tuesday night. Gibbs-White is on loan at Sheffield United from Premier League side Wolves and he was given his marching orders after receiving two yellow cards thus ruling him out of the Championship clash with Barnsley.

DIKE ON BARNSLEY RADAR – JOURNALIST REVEALS

Orlando City SC striker Daryl Dike is a big target for Crystal Palace ahead of the winter transfer window next year January. This is according to the report from Alan Nixon who writes for The Sun. Nixon talked about Dike and Crystal Palace via his Twitter handle. It was revealed that the Eagles are keeping tabs of Dike who spent the second half of last season on loan at Barnsley and that they could make a move for the United States national team striker when the January transfer window begins at the start of next year.

Dike was impressive for Barnsleyduring his time at the Championship club earlier this year. He played his part in getting Barnsley into the Championship playoffs last season via fifth place. BARNSLEY JOIN LAST-MINUTE RACE TO SIGN MANCHESTER UNITED STAR

It has continued to look likely that Manchester United youngster Axel Tuanzebe will leave the club on loan this summer. The young Netherlands international central defender has been told by United manager Olé Gunnar Solksjær that he has a future at the club but will have to go out on loan to get more game time and experience to continue his development – something he would not enjoy at United if he chooses to stay at Old Trafford this summer. To prove to him that they have plans for him at the club, they have offered him a new one-year contract which he is expected to sign before sealing a temporary move away from the club in the coming weeks.

Aston Villa are said to be the club that have shown the most interest in the player since it was confirmed that he will be available for a loan move and the Villans have almost reached an agreement with United to take him for the 2021-22 English Premier League season. However, Barnsley are attempting to make a last-ditch offer to Manchester United as they hope they can convince the player to join them instead.

BAGGIES’ MOVEFOR ISMAEL STALLS – REPORT

West Brom fans might need to wait a little longer to confirm Barnsley boss Valerien Ismael as their new manager as the two clubs are yet to reach an agreement for the Frenchman. According to Football Insider, Barnsley and the Baggies are still yet to agree on how the £2m compensation would be paid.

The Baggies approached Barnsleyon the possibility of manager Valerien Ismael taking over as the new manager at the Hawthorns and they were told to pay the compensation fee of £2m. The major issue delaying the imminent announcement of Ismael as the new West Brom boss is the terms of payment as far as the compensation package agreed is concerned as confirmed by the abovementioned English publication.

PROMOTION: BRADSHAW ROOTING FOR BARNSLEY

Milwall striker Tom Bradshaw has revealed where his loyalty lies ahead of the English Championship playoffs that will determine the third and final team for the Premier League in the new season. In his recent interview monitored by London News Online, Bradshaw said he has been impressed with Barnsley this season and how the club has been able to stun everyone to secure a place in the playoffs.

Bradshaw was a Barnsley player until he left the club to join London team Milwall in 2018. According to him, Barnsley went on a run of 11 wins in a row and that they were able to earn the respect of everyone with a feat like that. He further expressed his delight that the club was able to maintain the momentum from the aforementioned winning run to seal a place in the Championship playoffs.
