Barnsley Decides To Keep Tom Bradshaw

The assistant manager of Barnsley Andreas Winkler recently admitted that the target for transfer Conor Chaplin may not happen. Coventry City has also shown keen interest in the striker and so have the Reds been trying throughout the summer. However, it may be that the movement may not take place as per Winkler as he spoke at the pre-match press conference recently. Chaplin has been the name chosen for singing before others came into the scenario. However, if there is some moment taking place, it will be indeed a surprise for Winkler as there is no certainty as yet.

Winker stressed on Tom Bradshaw, the forward who is always happy being in the club regardless of constant keenness shown from Millwall. During the final year of the contract of Bradshaw Winkler said that he is not the CEO and there is no assurance that he can give. He sees him daily and has noticed that he does have a friendly nature and doing very well in training. Hence, it does not seem like he would be keen to move. As of now, the club has no plans to transfer anyone as they are quite content with the current squad.

Barnsleyare seeking to complete the loan deal for Swansea City man OliMcBurnie before the summer window deadline, according to reports.

The Reds have been seeking the player’s signature all summer having identified him as the man to help the club.

The manager Paul Heckingbottom recently said there was a “deal in principle” with the Premier League side. Till date the South Yorkshire side is still waiting for the final word from The Swans before the deadline elapses.

Swansea manager Paul Clement might lose recovering Fernando Llorente to other league sides so he wants to get his own team striking needs covered before losing more legs. Llorente’s 15 goals were crucial as the club beat the relegation battle to maintain their top tier status. He injured his shoulder in a cycling accident that has sidelined him from the three league games so far.

Clement has had to rely on Jordan Ayew and Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham for the goals so far. While he is seeking to add more legs, he does not want to lose any potential replacement. Continue reading “BARNSLEY RUSHING TO COMPLETE MCBURNIE DEAL BEFORE DEADLINE”

Marc Roberts on the radar of a couple of second tier clubs

It has finally been admitted by the Barnsley management that Marc Roberts, who led the team in the second half of the previous season, is on the radar of a couple of second tier clubs which have placed bids to take away the 26-year old Englishman.

Roberts has long been rumoured to be the target of certain clubs, but, when Heckingbottom, the man in charge of the Reds, had appeared in front of the media a few days ago, he denied it.

However, Heckingbottom has now disclosed that the offers have been put on the table for the player whose speciality lies in the heart of defence.

As per Heckingbottom, the club is yet to make a call whether to sell Roberts or not. He is such an important player that until and unless the club brings in someone else who can fill in his shoes, there’s no point selling him. Also, the club must get a suitable amount to lose the possession of a player of that stature. Continue reading “Marc Roberts on the radar of a couple of second tier clubs”
